有關國防部長人事案，國防部發言人羅紹和今(7)日上午召開記者會，強調部長任命為總統馬英九和行政院長江宜樺職權，府院將會選擇適當時機對外說明。不過，對於媒體傳出參謀總長嚴明將接任國防部長，羅紹和並未予以否認。
國防部發言人羅紹和上午表示，對於媒體傳出楊念祖下台係軍系內鬥，國防部對此表達最大抗議。羅紹和引述朱政麒上午所述，強調並無所謂高人指點，涉入任何內鬥情事。
對於楊念祖請辭，羅紹和強調，國防部肯定楊念祖對抄襲事件的負責任態度。但對於媒體報導，指稱國防部和陸軍司令部在洪仲丘案涉及內鬥，羅紹和呼籲媒體自律，切勿捕風捉影。
