法國國際廣播電台中文網報導，法國『皮埃爾神父基金會』( Fondation Abbé Pierre)近日幫助一個房客狀告巴黎11區的一個房主，原因是這個房主把自家的閣樓常年租給了一個房客，閣樓的面積只有1.56平公尺(可居住面積)。

根據國際在線報導，按照《巴黎人報》披露的消息，閣樓傾斜得厲害。人可以站直的面積長一公尺，寬不到25公分，按照規定，這種地方不能向外出租。巴黎的很多頂樓『住房』 內都沒有廁所，必須要到樓道裡與別的房客分廁所用。該房房東在屋內裝了一個水龍頭和一個熱水爐，房間內除了放一個睡墊之外，什麼都放不下。不僅如此，這位房東在今年3月份毫無道理地把月租從250歐元漲到了330歐元。

這名不願意透露姓名的房客(50歲左右)稱：『我每天鑽到自己的屋子裡蒙頭睡一覺，其他我也幹不了什麼。我在這個轉不開身的地方完全不是在生活，而是在僥幸生存。我在這裡生活了15年，但我又有什麼辦法呢？睡屋裡總比睡大街好。』

房客在『皮埃爾神父基金會』的幫助下，已經在低租金住房找到了落腳處。他狀告他原來的房東，討要25000歐元，將近5年多的房租收入。他稱此舉是不希望其他房客像他那樣有這種痛苦的生活經歷。
