景氣差,企業得裁員縮編的時候,最常用來向員工解釋的做法就是刪減人事,常見說法是什麼?專業、中立的說法又是什麼?

而當主管要通知解雇對象時,要怎麼說會比較好聽呢?請看以下例句:

關鍵用法:

●裁員用語

1、lay off:這是常見說法

例句:The bank is going to lay off 500 staff in Asia to weather the financial crisis.

(為因應金融危機,這家銀行將裁減亞洲區500名員工。)

2、cut down on staff number:這是專業、中立的說法

例句:We're going to cut down on staff number by the end of this year.(今年底我們即將刪減人事。)

3、right-sizing / streamlining:美化表象的版本,有人會用right-sizing,意指合理精簡;或streamlining,指流暢化、精簡化

例句:The company said it is right-sizing the organization to have the right focus on the market. (這家公司自稱正合理精簡組織規模,以便精準聚焦市場。)

●裁員句型

4、You're fired / let go:解雇

通知解雇的直白說法就是大家熟知的You're fired,不過有人認為這句話很狂傲,近來流行的字眼是let go

例句:I am sorry I have to let you go.(抱歉,我必須讓你走。)

5、to be dismissed:免除職務

這是較專業、公事公辦的說法

例句:You have been dismissed from your job.(公司免除你的職務了。)
