LOTUS領隊Eric Boullier相信，如果不是被Lewis Hamilton擋了那麼多圈的話，Kimi Raikkonen有機會贏得德國站的冠軍。在比賽還剩五圈的時候，Kimi Raikkonen超過了隊友Romain Grosjean緊追Sebastian Vettel，但是最後還是只能拿到第二。
